This week’s Caribbean Weekly Wrap Up tells you about hiking to the Boiling Lake on Dominica and some of the top classy all-inclusive resorts in the islands, but the main topics are rum related–and who doesn’t love rum!

The Wrap Up features one of the best Caribbean/rum stories I’ve read in awhile, titled On a Caribbean Rum Trail. Written by Baz Dreisinger, a writer for the New York Times and other publications, the stories takes you to three islands that live and breathe rum–Jamaica, Barbados and Martinique. The vivid description of the journey makes you want to jump on the next fast plane south to retrace her island hopping footsteps.

The most common starting point is in the town of Laudat, where it should be fairly easy to find a guide who knows the way and is willing to take you to the spot. –Story by
