I’ve had rum drinks out of coconuts, flaming glasses, tiki heads, and glass boots–never have I had the pleasure of sipping a fruitiful concoction out of a pineapple. I think a trip to Anguilla is in order so I can check this off the list.
What, I could drink rum out of a pineapple at home cheaper than a plane ticket to Anguilla? What fun is that. Plus doesn’t everything taste better in the Caribbean anyways!
Tucked against the picturesque white-sand beach of Rendezvous Bay on Anguilla, sits the magnificent 5-star CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa, home to Azure Beach Bar. Sam, a bartender at Azure, has created this week’s Boat Drink cocktail, appropriately named Sam’s Pyrat Rum Punch. Yes this special rum punch is served in a hallowed out pineapple, doesn’t get much more tropical than that.

Sam didn’t give me the exact cocktail recipe details, a guarded secret I guess, but we do have the ingredients so you can experiment and make your own at home. Better yet, jump a plane to Anguilla and meet me at the Azure Beach Bar!
