Last week reggae star Mishka released a mini album called, “Anything Anytime Anywhere – EP.” If you’re new to the foot tapping beats of Mishka, I’ve written about him before here and here. If you’re wanting a crash course on Mishka’s music–picture yourself sitting in a beach chair on a perfect swath of sand in the Caribbean, sweat dripping from your rum drink and a gentle breeze blowing across your face. As you push your toes deeper into the sand, you think to yourself that it’s impossible to be anymore relaxed than you are at this very second. Now take that feeling and put it to music, that’s Mishka. It’s the audio interpretation of…everything be irie mon.
I just downloaded the album and it’s more of the classic Mishka style that you’re use to. The trademark smooth flow continues to shine and the lyrics continue to inspire.
Here’s what Mishka lover and fellow Castaway PinkyDempsey said about the new album:
“Brother Mishka is amazing! He is so compassionate about his music and has such an impressive outlook on life’s journey, that such a positive vibe is reflected in his music. If you want peace in your soul, put on some Mishka. By far, my favorite person and artist ever. Bless up!”
Here is a short teaser video team Mishka put out to make our ears dance.
The mini album has six tracks that will have your mind flood with images of gin clear water and lazy island days. The tracks are…
- Hey Hey My My
- Cool Down
- The Prophet
- Neva Give Up
- My Son
- Anything Anytime Anywhere
The title track of Anything Anytime Anywhere is my favorite. I just listened to it 4 times in a row. Decompression complete.
Check out Mishka’s tour dates here. I highly recommend seeing him live if you get the chance.
