Nevis, it looms just a couple miles off the southeast shore of St. Kitts. Its lush volcanic mountain sides are an emerald paradise that contrast perfectly with the Caribbean blue. I’ve been told that Nevis is similar in personality to that of St. John of the USVI. If that’s true, my anticipation to set foot on the Nevis terra firma just jumped ten fold.

I don’t know what it is, but when I see an island off in the distance, it has a pull on me. It acts as a giant magnet that tugs on my sense of adventure and exploration. When I look at the photo above I can hear Nevis say, “Come to me, climb my mountains, swim in my waters, chillax at my beach bars.” It would be rude not to accept the invitation wouldn’t it?

In the up coming beach blogger trip to St. Kitts, I plan on spending a day on Nevis. I’m sure one day isn’t nearly enough time to really dig into the mysteries the island has to offer. One day is more like an appetizer, something to tease you with. Because Nevis knows that once you have a taste, you will want to come back for the delicious main course.

If you’ve been to Nevis I’d love to hear what you thought and what activities you experienced.
